Geographical Conditions Central Aceh Regency is an Agroforestry area that produces Arabica Coffee. This coffee from the Gayo highlands became the most expensive coffee in the world in 2011, beating the world’s largest producer, Brazil. This was revealed at the world coffee exhibition organized by the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) in Portland, Oregon Convention Center, United States. (Kopi_Gayo.com 2018). The total planting area for Arabica coffee in Central Aceh Regency is 48,300. Geographical conditions of land for farmers assisted by the Gayo Farming Cooperative are in Central Aceh Regency, 35 Village units in several sub-districts in the district. Central Aceh and Bener Meriah with variations in the height of farmers’ land between 1200-1600m above sea level, which has a tropical climate. Currently, cooperative members have been running coffee farms with Arabica, Typika (timtim) and Catimor coffee varieties.
